Our song for Round 2 of the Masters of Song Fu contest entry is done (although we’re still putting final tweaks on the recording). This is the song we had to write in the style of our opponent, Jonathan Coulton. (And he has to write one in the style of us)
No, you can’t hear it yet. (We’ll post it as soon as the contest deadline passes on Tuesday night.)
But Len Peralta has (because he’s special), and he’s already done a "Visual Thing a Week" version of it. Here it is.
Len, you’re awesome as always. The rest of you, see you Tuesday night! (Technically, Wednesday morning for anyone in EST or earlier; but the kind of people who point that out are no fun to be around*)
(*except for us, but we would never say it in person)

**For all your Australian fans, it’ll be lunchtime or later.
And all this assumes you post it here on your site again, because if we have to wait for QuickStop, our country will be at least another year older.
The sktech is a real appetite-whetter, for sure. I should be going to sleep early tomorrow night (I’m in EDT myself) to prepare for an absurdly expensive drive from PHL to NC’s Outer Banks, but will probably have to wait up and add the new songs to my music player to be listened to on the drive.
Hmmmmm… from the picture, I’m guessing that the song is going to be about a Dr. Frankenstien type person who, instead of creating just a monster, creates a girlfriend for himself.
I wonder if her name will be Abby. Abby Normal. 🙂

Man, I can’t wait for this though.
@ThomasT – I made that drive 2 weeks ago. Yes, absurdly expensive, but totally worth it. Be sure to use up a few extra gallons of gas while there and take a day trip to Okracoke.
Wow! Live is great! You nailed it!
