Wear What Not To Wear, Here

Original Famous Fromage T-shirtBig Media takes another shot at the Paul and Storm empire, this time declaring our Original Famous Fromage t-shirt (as well as Jonathan Coulton’s Skullcrusher Mountain t-shirt) an item what you should not wear. (We’re guessing this fact, based on the facial expressions of “What Not to Wear” hosts Stacy London and Clinton Kelly, as shown in this promo, pictured right, spotted by our eagle-eyed friend Molly)

O RLY???

Maybe it’s what not to wear if you still think having a little alligator on your chest is spiffy-keen, or you’re the type who dons a tuxedo before motoring off in your Stutz Bearcat to catch the polo match on a breezy Sunday afternoon, tra-la, tra-la!

But should we meekly bend to the will of Big Fashion? We should say NOT! More importantly, are YOU going to allow this aggression to stand? NO! It’s time to take the Original Famous Fromage t-shirt into the streets! To arms!

What? You don’t HAVE an Original Famous Fromage t-shirt? Procede directly to our CafePress store, where you can suit up in style (also available specially-tailored for the ladies.) Also available at our live performances.

Because the emperor needs new clothes, baby; and naked don’t cut it anymore.

Fromage.

On the other hand, this may inspire non-fans of the show to wonder where these sweet-looking shirts came from. These shirts are vital parts of my wardrobe, so nyah nyah major television shows.

Thank you! I will definitely start wearing that shirt more, starting with Comic Con! But I have a question: Should we like the redhead because she is wearing the Fromage shirt? Or should we despise her for being part of the hoity-toity snobery of the show?

Also, I hope they re-visit this with the re: Your Brains shirt as I want to know if it’s approprite to pretend to wipe the blood off of it.

    Thanks,
    Mike

I dunno, guys, as I said on Twitter, if it meant a free haircut and a new wardrobe, I might give up my collection of P&S shirts. I would, naturally, go out and re-buy them once the show was over. So, really, it would be a win-win situation. 😉

Very nice, that’s the kind of career moment you don’t forget.

See, that sort of shenanigans is why I’ve never liked that show and its ilk. Of course, I’ve never exactly been a slave to fashion as I find a lot of “trendy” things to be quite silly and unattractive. Does anyone remember a few years ago when it was nigh on impossible to find a women’s shirt with two sleeves? Yeah, exactly. Also, who is Mr. Fake Tan to tell that lovely geeklady how she should look? I think she looks like someone whose company I’d enjoy just as she is. I will continue to wear my O.F.F. shirt with pride.

(Still any free publicity is good, right?)

If that girl is not a minion already she needs to be made an honorary one, post haste.

I am above pictured girl and I wore my band t-shirts because I like them and wear them a lot. They are making faces because along with the t-shirt I am wearing a short blue schoolgirl skirt and white knee high pvc boots with a tall clear heel. I still have my formage shirt and I willsay the poepl on the show are very nice but they will never dampen my admiration for Paul and Storm.

And I am a bad speller when trying to type and do work at the same time. oops!

I think this appearance entitles Ariel to a special class of minionhood, maybe even meta-minionhood. “Queen of the Minions,” I daresay!

I wasn’t planning to get one before since I’m not a big fan of cheese, but I’m definitely going to get one when I have the money just to spite those fashionista assholes!

@Ariel: You managed to convince Stacy and Clinton to let you keep it AND you got the new wardrobe? WIN.

I agree that Ariel deserves some extra special commendation/designation for this. 🙂

What about “Order of ‘Wore our Shirt on TV'”

  14. Posted July 21, 2009 at 6:10 am | Permalink

You know what, that shirt could made to be trendy/hip/cool/whatever…if paired with the right skirt and a pair of heels…maybe even a cardigan over it or a scarf around your neck…

As my word is not the last in fashion, I’m sure the WNTW people would disagree with me. Like I care. If they were walking around Tel Aviv, I’m pretty sure they’d be appalled.

I proudly wore my fromage shirt when I did the tourist cheese shopping thing in Wisconsin 2 weeks ago. But it did feel a little like wearing the shirt for the band you are seeing at their concert.

Ariel definitely deserves minionhood (is that a word?) and maybe an extra free T-shirt!

You see what I was saying about your shirts having your website on them – how important that is? If you had that on this shirt, you’d have gained many many fans.

The shirts do have websites on them, across the back.
But if it did get seen it would probably have been blurred out.

@Ariel Great job on the show. My wife said that’s the exact hair color she’s been trying to get. (It suits you well!)

You know guys, given the fact that Sarah Palin is showing up to press conferences now wearing random things like a New England Patriots jersey, I think you should send her a fromage shirt.

Holy crap! What did they say about the shirts on TV? I missed this whole discussion and I am too lazy to read above. Someone fill me in.

a few week ago they had a lolita on there. and all the girls on the forum were watching. stacy called the outfit “a milk made outfit.” they girl responded “well it’s a fashion in japan.” and stacy snarked one back saying “yeah it should stay in japan.” me seeing the holes in this argument since she buys things or has things from other countries as well

WNTW is overall a horrible show. Some people who just wear sweats and such and look like they deserve a makeover sure fine they do, but when it come to subcultures that are not mainstream WBTW just instantly rips them up for no good reason! their was a mom/daughter makeover and the mom needed it but the girl was sorta punky and had her own style and was perfectly fine and they ripped into her like no tomorrow! the show fails to see people individually (no matter how many time they say they take that into account) and turns them into goons! (and not the good kind like the goonies!)

2/3 of the time I dontt agree with the make overs done on what not to wear. i think that the lady on the show looks nnice. but she is small and very attractive. think that the crap she puts on most of the women would look great on a small cute attractive girl. most of the slightly unattractive over weight women on that show do not loo great in “her” clothes. more over I like all black and monocramatic looks. i wish they would stop assuming that they have all the answers becuase they dont
