Man, Those Are Some Big Unners

A belated thank-you to the fine folks in Edwards, NY for the show at Edwards Opera House a couple Saturdays ago. Not only did they represent in record numbers (for a Paul & Storm show–big ups to Bob & Tom affiliate 101.5 The Fox for getting the word out), and not only did they feed us awesome desserts before the show (rhubarb pie, anyone?), and not only did they put us up in an awesome lake cottage…not only all those things, but they set the new record for Largest Pair of Underwear Thrown at Us During "Opening Band". Shattered it, actually. And yes,  you can consider the gauntlet thrown.

And while we’re thanking hosts, more thanks go to the folks at the Auburn Public Theater in Auburn, NY. Not only was everyone great to us, and not only did Carey (the managing director) take us to his pizza parlor after the show…not only all those things, but Paul got his children’s TV geek on when he found out that Carey played "Moody’s Dad" on the hilarious "Moody’s Point" segments on The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon.  Awesome!

LOLCoultons

So we’ve been spending a lot of time lately with our friend and tour-buddy Jonathan Coulton. And we’ve been spending a lot of time on the NetterWebs laughing at LOLcats lately as well. (Yes, we know the LOLcats thing is played out already, but give us a break, we’re old)

So it was really inevitable that we’d eventually come up with…

LOLCoultons

Ostensibly, these are just some gentle ribbing of a good friend. In actuality, they are our passive-aggressive way of sniping at him for his meteoric success in the past year. Tomay-to, tomah-to…

We’re Featured on the YouTubes

It has been brought to our attention that a video of us performing backup vocals for Jonathan Coulton on his awesome cover of "Baby Got Back" is a featured video in YouTube today.

So it is.

Cool.

Here’s the video, if you want to just jump straight to it…

Wanted: Dayton Show Photos

So we can’t tell you why (yet), but we need photos from our Dayton show last Saturday with Jonathan Coulton. And though we can’t offer you anything tangible in return, you will be entitled to some mighty rarified bragging rights.

Photos can be from the performance itself, before, and/or after. And they don’t even have to look particularly good. Just fork ’em over, ‘kay?

Would You Say We Have a Plethora of Panties?

Slightly belatedly, thanks to everyone who came to our shows with Coulton last week—we all truly felt like superhero rock stars.

Not to single out one show above others—all our children are our favorites—but we’d especially like to thank the crowd from our show at Schubas Tavern in Chicago, which singlehandedly nearly doubled the size of the Gallery of Thrown Panties with a veritable deluge of undergarments. A plethora, even. Like I said, superhero rock stars.

Some pix from the Schubas extravaganza can be found here (thanks, Liza!) and here (courtesy of Dan, who celebrated his birthday with a trip to our show, and a stop to visit the hot dog Muffler Man in Atlanta, IL. Way to live on the edge, Dan!).

Coming up after the holiday weekend, two shows in NY that we’re really looking forward to: Friday at the Auburn Public Theater in Auburn, NY; and Saturday at the Edwards Opera House in St. Lawrence County, NY. Hey, Canadian PaulandStormtroopers: this is as close as we’re getting to you for a while, so please represent. We’re lookin’ at you, Ottawa!
