It was May of 2008; we were in a convenience store somewhere in Wisconsin, making a mid-tour stop for gas, coffee and snacks. Perhaps it was the sleep deprivation, perhaps the particular array of munchies in the store; but it suddenly occurred to us that there are a lot of snack foods with names that, when taken out of context, are pretty filthy. (The particular snack that sparked the inspiration—the Ur-Snack, if you will—was the Dutch Crunch seen below)
